Being a Communication Designer means that your aim is to develop solutions that have yet to be imagined. To do this, your mind should be open to continuous learning as your focus lies not just on making things, but also and most importantly on critical thinking and project designing. Communication designers are expected to be able to think strategically and manage all the different parts of a communication process.

During your second year of the Undergraduate Programme in Communication Design at IED Roma, you will be able to choose to specialize in one of four areas: Communication Management, where you learn how to interpret new consumer trends for developing a successful brand strategy, with a special focus on such tasks as new product / service development and media plan management; Event and PR, which covers the planning, creation and organisation of all the activities involved in meetings and events management; Copywriting and Content Design, focusing on content as a key element for effective communication with both companies and people; Art Direction, where you study how to design, develop and apply creative strategies through visual project design, working with graphic designers and other professionals from the communication and advertising industry.

IED is the most awarded school at the ADCI awards: students from the Three-year BA in Communication Design won gold, silver and bronze at the 38th edition of the ADCI Awards at Intersections 2024


Issued Degree:

Diploma Accademico di Primo Livello (DAPL), corresponding to a Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA) – EQF6 Level (European Qualification Framework).


Credits:

The course awards 180 CFA (Academic Formative Credits), corresponding to 180 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System).
